Coral Charm Peony
Coral Charm Peony (Paeonia x 'Coral Charm) - This is a new addition to the little butterfly garden and I'm so excited. The plant was doing REALLY well in the pot and then I planted it in the garden. All of a sudden, the buds stopped doing anything for about two weeks. Then I read up on planting peonies (which I should have done before I planted it) and found out that they like to be planted slightely above the ground (as opposed to being level). So, since I also read that they are extremely finicky, I decided to just remove some of the top layer of soil from around the center of the plant, instead of lifting the whole plant. VOILA!! That seemed to do the trick and before I knew it, all seven buds began to open up. (June 1)
