Denise > Crinum Lily or Spider Lily (May 31, 2004) The Crinum Lily is a spectacularly huge lily. It grows rapidly to over 5' high with 5' long sword-shaped leaves. The plant is native to the tropics and subtropics; some species are native to Florida. Of the family Amaryllidaceae, it is cultivated for its beautiful, fragrant flowers and enormous size. That little plant in the back, with the skinny leaves, gave me a present of a MUCH larger plant that is now in the front. My Frangipani is in the middle of these two plants.
